Global Super Storms Are You Ready?

Starting around December 2012 we will be looking at nine possible events that will be cataclysmic in size.  The death toll could be not just in the millions but very likely more in the billions.  Humanity as we know it may never fully recover from these events.

So the question is what the events are and can we survive them?

We will be looking at a breakdown of society that will erupt into Nuclear War on a Global Scale.   If you survive this then you will be looking at Radiation and Nuclear Winter.  Radiation fall out will result in radiation burns and sickness, contaminate our soil and kill livestock and crops. Nuclear Winter means that we may now see the sun for a long time.  You’re not talking days, or weeks, but 2 or 3 years.  Without the sun, you will see cold temperatures, nothing will grow, and areas of the globe will turn into duct bowls resulting in sand storms.  In order to survive this you will need to be as far away from the blast zone as possible.

Next you are looking at an impact from space, a planet, asteroid, or meteoroid.  Earth impact could cause erupting volcanoes, molten lava from our planets core thrown into the atmosphere, everything destroyed for 100's of miles from impact.  If the impact is in the ocean, we will be looking at super-heated steam and acid rain and it would last for years.  Every plant would be killed and all fresh water would be contaminated and you would not be able to drink it.  If we are lucky it won’t be a giant and just a small impact, then we have a chance to survive if prepared, otherwise....

Then there is the possibility of Solar Flares.  Survival of solar flares is very possible.  Having shelter to protect us from these is easily built or obtained.  So as long as we are in shelters we will be fine, but don't forget, our food supplies, crops, and livestock are outside.  What will be for us after the flare outside of our little shelters?

Super Eruptions from Volcanoes will kill millions and most of North America as we know it will be gone.  Clouds of Volcanic Ash will create more Nuclear Winters.  If the volcanoes erupt underwater, we would have super tsunami.  Countries would be wiped off the map killing billions of people in just the matter of a few hours.  For those people above 1000 feet they would stand a chance to survive for a while.

Next on the list is Earthquakes and the big one is coming.  We know this, but what we don't know is where and when it will happen.  While if the earthquake is on the land it will be localized, even if it is a big one and if you’re not in a city you will most likely be okay, but if it is under water the result is a tsunami.  The result would be the same as a volcano underwater and the resulting tsunami.

Super Virus, Bacteria, Disease, Plague.  International Air travel-do I need to say more?  If you are lucky enough to live in rural communities and areas, and your family is healthy and fit, chances are you will be okay if you have only minimal contact with the outside world.

Let’s not forget the Polar Reversals, the North Pole becomes the South Pole and the South becomes the North.  The result is the earth changing the direction in which it spins and it will not be a good thing.  You will see Tsunamis, massive electrical storms, and earthquakes.  This will be felt throughout the entire globe.  If there is a chance to survive this you will need to find shelter under solid rock mountains.

Black Hole is space is a scenario that I have heard about but do not know that much about.  Basically this means that a black hole will appear in outer space within a few light years of earth.  This will either, pull us so that we crash into other planets pull the sun away from us and we will freeze, or pull us into the sun and we will burn up.  Chances of survival....zip.

Global Flooding is a threat we are already facing.  This will be on a scale 1000 times worse than anything we have faced since Noah in the bible and he had 100 years to prepare.  Approximately 3 billion people will drown.  Along with this we will be looking at torrential rains that will not let up and hurricanes with 100 mile an hour winds.  Roads will be nonexistent.  People at high elevations will have to worry about landslides that could bury entire cities.

Yet again the best survival situation will be people who live in rocky mountain ranges.  Valleys will turn into rivers from the rain and landslides.

Now there are a few things that we can do to survive (or not survive) some of these scenarios.  First of all you can do nothing and if you are lucky enough to live someplace that you will survive, or that none of these things come to pass.  You can sit back and watch what happens on the news is 2012. 

The second option is that you can move.  This may seem drastic but think about this: The United States and Canada are said to be the area that will be the most effected due to its location under the polar circle and Australia will be gone.  Europe and South East Asia will have to worry about nuclear meltdowns and volcanic eruptions.  Asia has to think about tsunamis.

 Africa is said to be the safest place to be at this time.  Few fault lines and few volcanoes.  It is also has land above where the sea level is expected to rise, this is where you will need to be.

The final thing that you can do to survive is to find and build a shelter for protection.  Stock up on canned foods, medications, first aid kits, fresh water and invest in a water purification system.  Have survival supplies on hand, matches, flash lights, and batteries.  You will need blankets and clothing, and tools such as hunting knives, something to hunt and trap with.  Things such as rope, thread, needles and anything else you can think of.  They will all be necessary if all of this comes to be in the year of 2012.
